  • They are not trying to keep us from knowing what is going on. Go to VPD has each and every police call linked to this website and now (according to VPD) each call is now posted up each and every hour. I'm not sure how many other agencies are doing this but this certainly shows that they are not trying to hide anything... quite the opposite. Enryption is bad for the crooks and good for us. Want to keep up on what is going on? Do what I do... go to

  • In 2008 we heard glass breaking and a bunch of kids laughing and yelling, and much to our surprise was several young teenagers painting and breaking windows in an old building no one lived in. Police were called and within minutes a red car came around the corner picked up 2 kids, and all the kids started to scatter. 3 police officers hit 3 corners in the neighborhood. Out of the 8 kids involved the police caught 2 at the end of the block running. Two kids paid the price of 8 involved. The really sad part was two vehicles with grown adults picked up at least 3 kids. I would like to hear about accidents just for safety measures and avoid being in the way, but if silence lowers crimes I am all for it.

  • I heard that a well known Fabric Softener Company is to sponsor VPD, expect to hear "Office Downy!" more often (if the signal hasn't been scrambled)

  • The public has the right to know what is going on in the community. I have personally listen to police traffic and i also help guide them to the locations of the subjects (3) they were looking for.

Okay, so the criminals have the capabilities to listen to police traffic. Why doesn't the PD invest on jamming equipment? The military uses it why can't they?

This is not a police state, nor a communist nor socialist country. Get off my rights.

  • Anytime the government local, state, or feds operate in secret then our personal liberties are subject to being lost.
Maybe not at first but the more power you give them the more we will lose.
The more they operate without being watched the more they will abuse thier position
