There were no injuries in a Monday morning hit-and-run at the intersection of Sam Houston Drive and Airline Road.

A Victoria woman suffered minor injuries during a hit-and-run Monday morning at the intersection of Sam Houston Drive and Airline Road.

Around 10 a.m., 18-year-old Melissa Menchaca traveled on Airline Road heading toward Sam Houston Drive when she was rear-ended by a truck.

Menchaca said she did not get a good look at the truck, but thinks it was green or black.

Witnesses, who also glanced only briefly at the truck before its driver sped off, said the truck had front-end damage and the driver was female.

Menchaca, who wore her seatbelt, suffered minor injuries to her arm and face.

She was taken to Citizen's Medical Center by private vehicle.

Police searched for the runaway truck Monday morning, but offered no new details by Monday night.
