FROM NEWS RELEASEConcrete paving has been completed on the west side of Victoria's Laurent Street between Airline Road and Crestwood Drive and will be open to two-way traffic Saturday.

The east lanes of Laurent Street will be closed that day as work begins to replace underground utilities and to rebuild Laurent and pave it with concrete.

Also on Saturday, Laurent Street will be reduced to one lane northbound between Crestwood Drive and Mockingbird Lane for the installation of utilities and street paving.

This one-way traffic restriction between Crestwood and Mockingbird will be in place for about six months.

All businesses and parking lots in the construction zone will remain accessible via alternate routes. On-street parking will be prohibited in the work zone.

Drivers can expect delays in the work zone and should use alternate routes to get around the work zone if possible.

This construction is part of the $6.17 million Laurent Street Reconstruction Phase II Project. The contractor is Total Site Inc. of Houston.
