WHAT: Registration and information night for the Medical Assisting continuing education program

Victoria College is offering on Wednesday a registration and information night for its Medical Assisting continuing education program.
The program prepares students to function in a medical office where certification is not required.
It includes 48 hours of classroom instruction and 48 hours of clinical instruction. The program runs from June 2 through Aug. 11 with classes from 6-9 p.m. on Mondays and Wednesdays.
Students will learn the essentials necessary to provide services pertinent in a medical office, such as clerical office skills, helping with the physical exam, insurance processing, personnel management, patient records management, ethical and legal issues, and basic anatomy and physiology.
Those wishing to register for the program will need to bring validation of immunizations including 2 STEP PPD TB tests and a Hepatitis B series (three injections) along with the $160 tuition.
