The city of Victoria sent a reverse 911 call at 8 a.m. today urging all residents to stay off the street.
Jeb Lacey, Victoria County emergency services director, estimates 35 percent of streets are impassable because of the flooding. The Victoria Fire Department is responding to multiple calls of flooding and rescues. Unofficial reports say some areas of the region received 6.5 inches of rain within 24 hours.
Most of the Crossroads region is under a flooding watch or warning. More information will be posted as it becomes available. We also encourage you to share your weather news here.
If you are organizing an event today, please post your weather changes to comments on this article.
