Annual summer River Flotilla set for Saturday

Shuttle Service from Goliad State Park

Lunch at the Goliad State Park Group Dining Hall until 2:30 p.m.

The Goliad State Park entrance fee will be waived for registered flotilla attendees. Individuals driving into the park must check in at park headquarters.

Registration is required by noon on Wednesday at kccanoe@aol.com or at 830-780-3249.

GOLIAD - The third annual summer River Flotilla will take place on Saturday along the San Antonio River.

Paddlers will receive free shuttle service from Goliad State Park and a free lunch.

Participants can unload their canoes, kayaks, small jon boats, and safety gear in the staging area on the north side of the U.S. Highway 59 bridge, west of downtown Goliad, according to news release.

Paddlers must supply their own craft and safety equipment. The registration deadline is noon, Wednesday

The event is hosted by the San Antonio River Authority.
