Victoria Public Library has a chance to win $10,000 in the Playaway Picture This contest. Internet voting continues through Dec. 17. Library employees Yvonne Rodriguez, left, and Melody Rader show off the library's display.

The Victoria Public Library is among the top 10 finalists in a national contest that could earn it $10,000 in prize money.

The library's participation in The Playaway Picture This Contest helps promote patron awareness of the Playaway audio book format available in the library.

"It's up to patrons, friends and fans of the library to vote," said Michelle Wendel, library communications manager.

The Victoria Public Library houses more than 140,000 books, compact discs and DVDs.

It has 36 public computers.

More information about the contest is available on the library's website at www.victoriapubliclibrary.org.

Contest voting takes place through Dec. 17 at http://vote.playaway.com.
