Church pastors nationwide are expected to visit Victoria next week for the 2010 Significant Church National Conference.

Beginning Monday, the three-day conference will be hosted by Faith Family Church and senior pastor Jim Graff, who is also the president of the Significant Church Network.

Graff founded the Significant Church Network 10 years ago with a vision to empower small town churches and rejuvenate their clergy.

The conference is part of that vision, aiming to encourage pastors in building their home churches, and brainstorm ideas about making them stronger. It's also a time for pastoral worship.

"This conference really shows that small town churches are thinking big, and have interesting things going on," Faith Family Youth Pastor Josh Joines, said.

The conference kicks off at 6 p.m. Monday with registration, followed by a worship and group session with featured speaker Pastor Larry Stockstill, of Bethany World Prayer Center in Baton Rouge.

The next two days are comprised of day-long activities with group sessions and breakout groups discussions on such topics as "Staying in the Game" and "Leading an Attractional Church." Wednesday, the final day of the conference, will include addresses from other areas of church leadership such as, "Connecting Our People to Live as Christ's Body" and "Transforming Our World."

Some of the highlighted speakers at this year's conference include National Director of Significant Church Network David Swann, and Fred Markert, of Youth with a Mission, Network for Strategic Initiatives organization.

The conference is open to pastors and other church leaders.

Admission is $30 for Significant Church Network members and $50 for non-members.
