River authority to hear final stages of study
Kenneth Koop, an Inez farmer and retired teacher, shares his thoughts about the project and explores the land at stake of being flooded if a dam were built in an exclusive video feature at www.victoriaadvocate.com.
The Lavaca-Navidad River Authority will hear the final report of a study on Wednesday of whether it would be economically feasible to build a dam on the Lavaca River.
The study also examines whether it would be environmentally feasible to build a dam on the Lavaca River, one of the last free-flowing Texas rivers.
The meeting will be at 7:30 a.m. Wednesday in the meeting room of the Lavaca-Navidad River Authority Complex, 4631 Farm-to-Market road 3131 in Edna.
