The processing of mail might move to Corpus Christi under a proposed plan by the United States Postal Service. The approval of the plan would mean a loss of personnel at the Victoria mailing location.
A public meeting will be held on Dec. 2 at 7 p.m. at the Victoria Electric Co-Op Auditorium at 102 S. Ben Jordan St. to discuss a study that was performed that suggests the change.

I hope not as the mail already goes to Corpus when I send it here in town! How stupid!
November 18, 2010 at 2:30 p.m.Does that mean were gonna start seeing more bums hanging out at the library in tattered USPS uniforms?
November 18, 2010 at 11:58 a.m.I am 100% against this cost cutting measure. How long will my Netflix movie take to arrive by USPS after the the DVD will go to Corpus? It already takes four days to turn around a movie from Victoria but only two days when mailed from Austin. Failed.
November 18, 2010 at 10:54 a.m.I thought they did this in the early 80s.
