Ho, ho, ho. Here Comes Santa Claus, Here Comes Santa Claus! Santa Claus is coming to Riverside Park for the 14th Annual Christmas in the Park from 6-9 p.m. Dec. 11.
This year's event will be at the Special Events Area, 311 Memorial Drive, next to Riverside Stadium in Riverside Park.
The Candy Cane Hunt is coming back to Christmas in the Park. Prizes and lots of candy canes will delight the young ones. There will be lots of games and Jenny Jumps for the kids. The Sugar Plum Pull, Snow Man Bean Bag Toss and Ringers are a few of the games you can play. Some of the events and activities taking place are pony rides, cookie decorating and eating, Trackless Train Ride, and hot chocolate to warm your tummy.
Everyone wants to see Santa, and this year he will be at the Texas Zoo. You will take an old-fashioned hayride through Riverside Park and go through the zoo to visit Santa and his helpers.
H-E-B is a proud sponsor of Christmas in the Park for the third consecutive year.
Gates will open shortly before 6 p.m. in the parking area next to Riverside Stadium. Staff will be onsite to assist you with your parking needs. Please bring your camera and take picture of Santa with your kids. We would like you to send us your favorite picture and we will post some of them on our Facebook page. Make plans to send your photos to firstname.lastname@example.org and share the joy of Christmas with everyone.
Please join the Parks and Recreation Department for a family fun evening celebrating the Christmas season. Hope to see you there.
