I remember when I was little that all of the children in Victoria would go to the gazebo in town and Santa (various organizations such as the Optimist would make this possible) would give us all a bag full of candies/goodies. We were also all treated to a free movie at one of the theatres in town - it was wonderful - spoke with someone not long ago and he remembered this too; we don't live in Victoria. We're in our 60's! Wonderful memories! Today I volunteer in several events during the holidays - hopefully I can help build memories that some children will remember and then hopefully they will take the time to volunteer too. Thank you 50 years later!!

FYI - in North Pole, Alaska, there is a split level house on the edge of town called "Santa's House". This is where all the letters to Santa go. There is a couple that live there named Santa and Mrs. Clause. There is a gift shop and a park ranger station next door. It is on the Old Richardson HighwayAbout 12 miles south of Fairbanks, Alaska. I do beleive they do have a phone number too! So you can call Santa's house if your child is acting up. Just an idea.
