  • Agree with hire outside the area. It won't happen, they will hire a family, friend or someone that knows someone in / around cuero. Small towns do that!

  • i agree, they need to hire someone from outside the area and someone that is going to come in and clean up the streets

  • It was our son-in-law that was murdered last February. Then two of his brothers were shot some months later. These vendictive assaults were family-related but both sides went to high school and were friends with Mr. Hernandez, which put him in a precarious position. "Flying under the radar" means things happening without detection and the whispers, I assume, would be in relation to these unseen activities.

I sincerely hope that the new chief has nerves of stainless steel. That town needs a good cleaning.

  • Mark, your comment seems somewhat negative. It seems you are trying to say something without saying anything. Can you explain what is "flying under the radar"? What are the whispers about. I don't mean to challange your comments, just curious about what is going on.

  • Whoever gets that job had better be tough as nails and wear a vest. Lots flying under the radar lately in Cuero. It isn't surprising that nobody from within the department applied. I wouldn't want the job either, too much whispering going on.
