One woman was injured after her car hit the back of a parked truck on Fillmore Avenue on Tuesday afternoon.

Around 4:26 p.m., a blue Ford Taurus was traveling south on Fillmore Avenue toward Laurent Street.

When the Taurus' driver saw a Suddenlink cable truck parked in her lane, she attempted to go around it by entering the lane of oncoming traffic, said Officer Herschel Buck.

Upon entering the lane, however, she saw a vehicle approaching her and quickly swung back into her own lane, resulting in her rear-ending the parked Suddenlink truck.

No one was in the truck at the time it was hit.

The Taurus' driver, whose name was not released, was taken via ambulance to Citizens Medical Center.

Both the driver and her male passenger were wearing their seatbelts.

Buck said the driver was found at fault for the wreck but would not be issued a citation.
