Dago Rodriguez introduced his 3-year-old daughter, Mia, to the excitement of bull riding Friday night.
Cheers erupted from the at least 200 spectators as bulls bucked relentless riders at the 11th annual Texas Kickin' Bull Riding rodeo.
"Ain't nothing else to do in Victoria," Rodriguez said, laughing. "It's something different. It's an amazing deal."
The event is a major fundraiser for The Friends of Texas Kickin' Bull Riding, a parent-based organization, said Britney Cross, a member of the organization.
"We are so excited that we could give this to Victoria," Cross said.
The proceeds are handled by the organization, but will be reserved for the Victoria West High School Legacy dance team.
The bull riding competition isn't just for show, it is part of the Professional Bull Rider's tour, which is a big deal, she said.
Children had opportunities to take part in mutton busting, greased pigs races and mechanical bull riding.
