OTHER THINGS TO DO IN THE AREASAN ANTONIO: Life-sized dinosaurs. Cutting-edge technology. The Dinosaur-Quest at Rivercenter Mall in downtown San Antonio, is every little kid's (and manly kid-at-heart types) dream. The ongoing exhibition of life-sized dinosaurs is displayed in brilliant lighting and sound, all complemented with high-end video animation. Tickets are $12 for ages 12 and up and $10 for under 12. Go to Or swing on over to 2042 Ackerman Road in San Antonio on Saturday to check out the Car, Truck & Bike Show from 11 a.m.-5 p.m.

SAN MARCOS: Bust out those credit cards (and guys, be prepared to hold your lady's purse). Prime-Outlets San Marcos offers bargain shoppers the chance to shop at A/X Armani Exchange, Betsey Johnson, Calvin Klein, Ed Hardy, FENDI, Gucci, Juicy Couture and many more. Located at 3939 IH-35 South No. 900, store hours are from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. For more information, go to

Tickets may be sold out already for the Austin City Limits Festival (Boo!), but never fear. A mere 45 minutes south of Austin is another multi-day festival taking place this weekend, and this one not only includes just as much music, but lots and lots of wine as well (Yay!).

The 24th annual Gruene Music & Wine Fest is a four-day affair starting Thursday in the Gruene Historic District in New Braunfels. Among the events scheduled are:

"That's Right-It's Not From Texas," featuring wine tasting of 30 New World and German wines, cigars and jazz music by Acoustic Jungle on Thursday.

"Rockin' With Texas Wine and Food" with music by Jack Ingram and the Great Guitar Auction benefiting United Way on Friday.

"Texas Tastings & Tunes" Saturday afternoon and a performance by Tanya Tucker on Saturday night.

"Texas-Style Music Fest" with, you guessed it, more music, wine and food on Sunday.

Tickets vary in price depending on the event and range from $10 to $75.
