One woman was taken to the hospital after her vehicle rear-ended another vehicle that was broken down on Houston Highway about 2 p.m. Tuesday.

A Chevrolet Corsica driven by Beth Prukop, 28, broke down in the inside, westbound lane of the highway just west of Sam Houston Drive. A Toyota Camry driven by Roy Cravens, 82, crashed into the Corsica, said Officer Travis Hanson, with the Victoria Police Department.

The wife of the driver, Mary Cravens, 76, was taken to DeTar Hospital Navarro with injuries that appeared to result from a tightened seatbelt, Hanson said.

All passengers were wearing their seatbelts and no citations were issued.
