Good points Red Rage. I was in Dallas for 15 years. East will win because athletes can stop the triple option. That is why teams do not run that offense in North Texas.(Richardson Berkner used to and may still) You run that offense when you do not have the athletes to run something else..ie. Navy, Air Force..It can be effective, but will not beat teams who have better athletes and can use them right.

Calhoun fans crack me up. They win a few games for the first time in 60 years and they want to talk mess like they're some powerhouse team that we should all be afraid of. They have football tshirts that say "Protect the tradition" I find that funny...I've seen that at Southlake Carroll games but they actually have DECADES of winning seasons...SEVEN state championships to back it up. Calhoun hasn't even won an outright district championship by themselves.

Calhoun has a good/decent program going...they're a good COASTAL BEND team, but they're no State powerhouse so I wish their fans would stop acting like they're one. I guess that's the attitude you get after 60 years of being the whipping boy...you don't know how to act. Cuero fans know how to act....they've been there for decades...you don't see Cuero fans running their mouth on the Advocate. Calhoun just benefited from being realigned into Region 4. That was the best thing to ever happen to them. Now they think they're tough because they beat Moody, Miller, Rockport, and Ray...oh wait :)

Wow...I cannot believe how ignorant some people are. Thank you sf72 for stepping up and educating some people on the facts of this athlete. It is amazing how some of you will stoop to the level of trash to degrade someone (or some team) that is having success when your own in not. I am sure you carried the water for the real athletes if you were even on the field when football season was in progress. I guess success cannot happen in Victoria without some kind of violation of the rules. This is the attitude that has killed sports in this city for decades. Just support all of the teams who are in the area and be glad for the young men and women who give their sweat, tears and time to try to represent their respective schools in sports. Some people find it hard to beleive that a first year team can end up so good and work together as one. You don't see anyone complaining about the Warriors. Why is that? They are a good team as well.

Billy give it a rest! all those transfers you are referring too(Yates, McClure) were enrolled last year at Memorial. And the rules are different when transferring from a private school.(Martinez) Go back to St. Joe or Calhoun, obviously it chaps your hide to see these kids flourishing.

I heard that the VISD is currently verifying address and guardianship for over 200 kids in elementary school presently. They are aware of the potential for cheating and are approaching the problem from the bottom going up.

This kids got allot of talent! The whole East football team dose! I hope the crabs know what the are getting into.
