More people voting early this year than in 2006

About 24 percent more voters have voted early in person in 2010 than in the General Election of 2006, according to a news release from the county.

On Tuesday, 566 people turned out to vote, bringing the total number of early ballots cast to 4,933.

A total of 1,442 mail-in ballots have been returned to date, with 1,686 having been mailed out.

The total number of registered voters in Victoria County is 51,692.

Early voting continues Wednesday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the main early voting polling location, 111 North Glass Street, at the Health Department, 2805 North Navarro Street and at the Victoria Mall, 7800 North Navarro Street.

Early voting at the Bloomington ISD Administrative Offices, 2875 Farm-to-Market Road 616, will be open on Wednesday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Early voting at the main early voting polling location, Health Department and Victoria Mall will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Thursday and Friday.
