Cleanup scheduled Saturday in Greenbriar neighborhood

HELPING CLEAN SWEEPVolunteers will assist residents of the Greenbriar neighborhood in removing trash, debris and other items from their property from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday. People or groups wishing to volunteer can sign up online at www.keepvictoriabeautiful.com.

The Greenbriar neighborhood will undergo a Clean Sweep on Saturday.

In observance of Make a Difference Day, Keep Victoria Beautiful is co-sponsoring the clean-up effort from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The City of Victoria Development Services department and Waste Management will provide support.

Clean Sweep gives Greenbriar residents the chance to clean up their yards, homes or closets. Waste Management will provide waste hauling services through its Bagster program. Bagsters will be located throughout the neighborhood for disposal of unwanted items, trash and debris.

No hazardous waste including electronics, tires, batteries, paint, pesticides, herbicides or engine fluids may be placed in the Bagster.

The Greenbriar neighborhood is bounded by North Ben Jordan Street, Nimitz Street, Wildwood Street and Lone Tree Road.
