An 82-year-old Yoakum man was killed in a two-vehicle wreck at 10 a.m. Friday.

Earl Franklin Wyatt, a retired rancher, was driving a Ford F-150 pick-up west on County Road 302 when he failed to yield right of way, and ran a stop sign, according to a Department of Public Safety report.

Marion resident Bobby Lee Burleson, age not available, was travelling north on US Highway 183 in a 2000 Freight Line tractor pulling a dump truck when the two vehicles collided, according to the report. Burleson was uninjured.

DPS Trooper Joel Johnson of Gonzales conducted the investigation.

Justice of the Peace for Precinct 1 Darryl Becker pronounced Wyatt dead at the scene.

Wyatt was not wearing a seatbelt, according to the report.
