REHOBOTH BEACH, Del. (AP) - Labor Day weekend is about to start, but some hotels in Rehoboth Beach in Delaware say they are emptier than usual because of nasty weather expected from Hurricane Earl.

A number of hotels in Rehoboth Beach said Friday they were at between 40 and 60 percent occupancy, lower than normal for one of the last weekends of summer. A few people had called to cancel planned stays and others were delaying the start of vacations until Saturday or Sunday, when the weather is supposed to improve.
