Editor, the Advocate:
Pets Are Worth Saving - Pins for PAWS was a huge success, and special thanks go to the many businesses and bowlers who supported it. Thank you to Woodlawn Bowl and staff for hosting the event. Lane Sponsors were Outburst Advertising, Cornerstone Properties, County Commissioner Wayne Dierlam, Victoria Nissan, Animal Palace Hillcrest Animal Hospital, Victoria Automobile Dealers Association, Harding and Parker Drug Store, Putt-Putt Golf Course, Victoria Chamber of Commerce, Kiwanis Club of Victoria, Drop It and Lock It, The Tackle Box, Bahai Faith, Dr. Houston Sterne and State Farm agent Pat Pachta. Door prize sponsors were Leo's Canine Catering, Agama Advertising, Uncle Mutt's Barbecue, Casa Olé, Jason's Deli, Mumphord's Place Barbecue, VCA Victoria Animal Hospital, Tejas Café and Grandy's.
We had great coverage from the Victoria Advocate, KAVU-TV and Gary Moses with the area radio stations.
The event raised more than $1,500 that will be used for the spay and neuter of animals belonging to families making under $25,000 per year and living in Victoria County.
For further information call 361-571-3451 or 361-575-6003.
Cindy Schneider, PAWS President, Victoria.
