Labor Day holiday schedule for governmental offices and other services in the Victoria area includes:

GARBAGE SCHEDULE

Normal garbage and limb collection; the brush site, and landfill near Bloomington will be open. The recycling center is closed on Mondays.

TEXAS ZOO

The zoo will be open regular business hours.

CITY AND COUNTY OFFICES

City of Victoria offices, including city hall; The Victoria City-County Health Department; The Victoria County offices; and Golden Crescent Regional Planning Commission, will be closed on Monday.

City, county and state emergency services will continue to operate. Victoria Transit will run.

MUSEUMS

Museum of Coastal Bend, Discovery, Nave and McNamara museums are closed Monday.

LIBRARIES

The Victoria Public Library and the Victoria College/University of Houston-Victoria Library are closed Monday.

STATE OFFICES

Department of Public Safety driver's license office, Texas Department of Human Services, Workforce Solutions-Golden Crescent, Texas Parks and Wildlife Department, and University of Texas Medical Branch Women's Services Clinic are closed.

U.S. POSTAL SERVICE

The post offices are closed Monday.

FINANCIAL INSTITUTIONS

Bank of America, 1st Victoria, Wells Fargo, Capitol One, Prosperity, Texas Bank, and IBC main branch will be closed on Monday. IBC branch in H-E-B Plus and H-E-B on Rio Grande will be open; 1st Convenience Bank will be open. American Bank lobby will be closed but the drive thru will be open from 9 a.m.-1 p.m.

SCHOOLS

All public and private schools in Victoria County are closed Monday.

VICTORIA ADVOCATE

The Advocate offices will be closed. A customer service representative will be available from 6-10 a.m. To report news, call 361-574-1222.
