Parents of the couple are the late Emil and Linda (Aschenbeck) Berger of Shiner, and the late Alfred and Elsa (Harbers) Mueller of Nordheim.

The registry table, laid in white cloth, held the original wedding picture, a gold anniversary register book, a gold anniversary tree, which was a gift. Near the registry table was the original wedding gown and the original white sport coat worn on their wedding day. Also the dress she wore on the 25th anniversary and the blue suit he wore on the 25th anniversary.
The cake table also laid in white cloth, held a three-tiered off-white frosted cake decorated with pink roses and the "50" in gold.
Ervin Berger, brother of the bride, gave the prayer, preceding the barbecue meal with all trimmings.
Music for the dance was provided by the "Texas Dream Band" with Mrs. and Mrs. Allen Dieringer leading the grand march.
Everyone departed wishing the couple many more happy years of marriage.
