Refugio remains No. 2 in AP high school poll

The Refugio Bobcats are still No. 2 in the AP's Texas high school football poll after a 70-26 win at home against Hallettsville on Friday.

The Bobcats trail Daingerfield in the Class 2A rankings.

However, Refugio is still the top-ranked school in 2A, Division II, because Daingerfield is a 2A, Division I team. The AP does not separate divisions with classes.

The Bobcats have outscored opponents 120-54 in their 2-0 start.

They'll host Robstown this weekend.

They were the only Advocate-area team to make a top-10 poll this week, though a few others received votes.

Edna and Rice Consolidated, which lost to Refugio in Zero Week, received eight and seven votes, respectively, in Class 2A.

Ganado received 10 votes in Class 1A.

For the full poll, C3.
