Summer book sale benefits Victoria library

If you are looking for a great price on books, the Friends of the Library End of Summer Book Sale is the place to find a bargain.

The sale will be Monday through Sept. 18 in the Bronte Room of the Victoria Public Library, 302 N. Main St.

A pre-sale will be held for Friends members, and prospective members who purchase a membership from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday.

The sale will be open to the public during normal library hours beginning Monday.

On Saturday, when the sale is over at noon, all remaining books will be sold at half price. There will also be a $1 bag of books special.

Books included in the sale will be fiction, non-fiction, children, home schooling, art, medical, textbooks, religion and many more genres. Movies and music will also be on sale.

The items have been donated to the library from residents of Victoria County. All proceeds of the sale are used to buy books and other materials for the library, as well as fund reading and enrichment programs.
