Editor, the Advocate:

I want to give you my deepest sympathies on the loss of your dear pet, especially since some unkind person ran over it. I lost a very cared-for pet through old age and her health. But animals have souls like we do, so when I read this poem, it sure helped me to get another pet, and now I am enjoying it a lot.

The poem that I read said that my deceased pet was in a good place and that she had plenty of food and water, and the place was of the right temperature, and the only one she misses is you. I believe this very strongly. This is why I got this other pet from the Dorothy H. O'Connor Adoption Center on the Houston Highway.
