Industrial trustees set tax rate for 2010 fiscal year

VANDERBILT - The Industrial school board set the district tax rate to $1.3725 on a $100 valuation for the 2010 tax year.

The tax assessor was authorized to begin assessing and collecting the tax as of Monday.

A portion of the tax, $1.04, is for maintenance and operations and the remaining amount of 33.25 cents will be used to pay for debt service.
