GOLIAD - The annual Goliad County 4-H Festival on Saturday will raise money for the club and benefit children with cancer.
The 4-H will serve barbecue sandwiches, Frito pies, nachos and homemade deserts as one of its two annual fundraisers.
There will also be a cake walk and raffle prize drawing, with over 100 prizes donated by the community, said Becky Ham, 4-H program assistant.
This year, the 4-H members came up with idea of having a dance to benefit children with cancer. Kids wishing to attend the dance, which is from 8 to 10 p.m., will be required to bring a cap to donate to Driscoll Children's Hospital as part of a campaign called "Cover for the Cure."
In addition, the event will boast games such as ladder ball, basketball, a dunking booth and pie-in-the-face, Ham said.
