I tend to believe programs like "Cops" and similar reality shows have added to the problem. The pursuits always make the footage that goes on the program. Lots of dumb, young people today believe that running from the police is just part of the event.

Back in the day...Law Enforcement, would turn their lights on, you would stop and be responsible for your actions...
Today people "fleeing from police first in a car, then on foot or people shoot at the officers trying to apprehend you". Times have sure changed.
I commend the officers for doing their jobs.
