  • speakup[anonymously]1968, as an expert and source you are every bit as credible as these family members of the HPL on this blog. At least they attended the trial and are providing their prospective rather simply ranting about fantasy and passing it off as "I heard from my invisible friend" account.

If you want to be believed state specifics, corroborative facts, and disclose your name. Until then your simply the electronic version of a bathroom-stall opinion writer.

  • Sad to say Tyler is convicting someone that is guilty and not just by hearsay. Tyler may be doing it for reelection or for a win case but if he wins this case, good for him, because this time he is putting someone away that needs to be put away, the murder victim didn't have a chance for anyone to defend him, he had only one leg, and was murdered in a way that should not have happened, people are failing to understand and realize that there has to be justice, and Tyler's willing to get that justice and make people pay for the crimes they commit, regardless if it was 2 days ago or 10 years ago, when someone murders and then cleans up their act, the murder victim can not come back as a plea bargain, the murder victim is forever gone, the guilty party has to pay no matter what, So I say "Great Job Tyler"

  • It doesnt take a law degree to know when the LAW is doing wrong. Its just funny how us WITHOUT law degrees can see it but the ones WITH degrees OVERLOOK IT.

  • Nice to see all the legal experts weighing in on the issue. Must be a lot of graduates of the University of Phoenix on-line law school.

  • its so scary to know that these elected officials have so much power over us and our lives. i dont know the facts of this story, but I do know that God is always watching and good and truth always prevail. if your cousin and brother is innocent i hope that God will reach down and prove it so. Either way, these people of power and money can make us or break us and when we the hardworking people of victoria are being scrutinized who is looking in their closets?

  • Tyler along with his Assistant Eli Garza and State Attorney are ready to convict any day. They judge people by their childhood pass, and punish alot of innocent people with no evidence. It's all about he said she said type of thing. Also they get some local law officials to lie on stand about cases. I know for a fact that when you turn your sirens on your patrol camera should automatic turn on. And in my brothers case it just so happen that both times that he was arrested there was a malfuction with both cameras. Supposedly all the patrol units had new cameras installed a few years ago. Now another thing why couldn't they provide a receipt where the two cameras were repaired??? Victoria has so many corrupted Lawmen. That's a freakin shame..... We are going to take my brother's court to District Clerk and if all possible will move it out Victoria. That's for sure. They gave my brother 50 years and he didn't even murder anyone. He is being charged for assulting his ex-girlfriend, which she made everything up becuase he was already living with someone else. And she was persistant that he come to her house. So it was all planned out. But there is a God and evil people do not have a happy life!!!

  • holein1 yes i agree that i didnt even think they could hold someone over 72hours without physical evidence but apparently we are wrong.

  • I'm not a lawyer, but from what I understand a statement is not near enough to charge. I don't even think it's enough to arrest. There has to be something else.

  • i belive he got fingered for the crime because another couple got themselves into trouble so to try and save their own arse they point the fingers to others. happens all the time!

This is such a sad thing to hear. True on how could people come on here and voice your opinion when they dont even know the entire story. Heres a summary of it: Timothy along with other members were charged right before election so that tyler can look good once again. Tyler is trying to charge him from what i understand off a statement, no actual evidence. I beleive this man needs a out of town trial due to it being so popular thru the media- all of victoria's heard of it by now so having it here would be an unfair trial for him.
I ALSO BELIEVE THE JOKE IS ON US- TYLER WASTES OUR TAX DOLLARS BY KEEPING INNOCENT PEOPLE LOCKED UP SO WE ARE LEFT TO PAY FOR THE EXPENSES TO KEEP THEM IN JAIL. I WORK MORE THAN 1 JOB TRYING TO MAKE IT AND IF THIS MAN IS INNOCENT SAVE ME SOME MONEY AND LET HIM FREE. DONT PUT MY MONEY INTO HIS ROOM AND BOARD IF ALL YOUR TRYING TO CHARGE HIM WITH IS A STATEMENT BY SOMEONE ELSE.

  • Interesting, or should I say Ntrstg. WTH?

So how did your cousin get fingered for this crime? I'm sure we would all like to hear your side of the story.

  • I am so sorry that Tim has fallen victim to the DA's office. It is sad when you cant depend on the law to up hold it. We have a higher authority and HIS WILL BE DONE not the enemies....

  • Tyler charged my cousin as part of his efforts to look good for re-election. Yes, maybe a change in venue would be warranted here because now the Victoria community knows of his past incarceration n whr r u going to find jurors who Hv not read or heard abt the case. He paid his price to society for a previous mistake. He's a wonderful family man, who had settled down, bought his 1st home, raising n supporting his family. But he was judged and sought out by the DA's offc so tht thy culd look good n a time of re-election. I haven't seen Tyler on tv since. I had the opportunity to be in the ct room to hear the facts in this case. The truth will prevail and we will bring Tim home so tht he can Cont living his life with his family and his son whr he belongs. Karma is not nice and whn u prosecute Wth ill intentions you will reap what you Hv sewn. Tim, we love you, we believe in ur innocence, not bc ur family but bc you are innocent of these charges.

It's sad to read tht people are already convicting him based on his criminal past. Thy know nothing of the case n thy dnt knw Tim. He is a wonderful God fearing hard working man.

  • "Tylers out for blood, and if you know him, then you know hes getting blood one way or another,"
Thats is a very true comment. The DA's office will do anything to get a conviction. Innocence or Guilty doesn't play a role in it. They just want all the convictions they can get. Its not about the law its about the win. They have put innocent men in prison. WAY TO GO TYLER

    April 7, 2011 at 8:34 a.m.
  • Its not Tylers fault, he did what he was taught to do. Tylers out for blood, and if you know him, then you know hes getting blood one way or another, the defendants lawyer just stepped in a big pile of cow poop and doesn't even know it, he's condeming his own client. Good Job Tyler!! Just sit back and let his lawyer send him up ;)

  • Ooookaaaaaayyyyy....Now that the entire potential jury pool has heard that the poor innocent lamb had been in the pokey before, I guess the trial will have to be moved to, ohhh, someplace like Beaumont to find a jury panel that hasn't heard of his earlier little problem.

    April 6, 2011 at 10:47 p.m.
  • Good job Tyler! Keep up the great work. Maybe next time you can just let him go.
