  • A moron and a redneck meet for a not-so-nice git together.

  • Ya know, there's a billboard on 59 coming into Victoria, that says "I'd Slow Down If I Were You!" It's a Lamar sign, don't know if somebody paid for that or if Lamar volunteered it, but...

"Knock, knock. Is there anybody in there?" Ooops, too late.

As I understand it, it doesn't even take a driving test to get a driver's license anymore. Just the fees and pass an English test. Things are geared as if it's 1956 and you might pass a Hudson going the other way on a dirt road.

This oilfield boom is making the roads more dangerous too. Man, why don't people think when they drive that Sherman tank down the highway?

  • Why does everyone have to be so negative?I'm sure we have all done law violations once in our lives...but we must point out the flaws of another person that resulted in an accident...we should all be thankful no one was seriously injured, especially the 4 year old, and leave it at that!

  • If "The Dodge, whose trailer was carrying a light pole that extended about 6-feet outside of the trailer, attempted to make a left turn onto Lower Mission Valley Road..." and the "....Expedition tried to pass the Dodge in what was a no passing zone".

How did any humans get hurt????

Another reason why we should ban those law breaking vehicles from the road...

  • Well, since the DPS couple moved out here on 237 (Yorktown Highway) about a year ago, people have really slowed down and I like it! Used to be, you'd set your cruise at 60 and upset all of NW Victoria County residents headed to town.

The oilfield guys don't seem to have taken the hint yet but oh well...I don't even look in the rearview anymore. I can definitively give the details of Peterbilt, Kenworth, Freightliner and Mack truck grilles by memory...don't need to study any more of them.

Say, who is that kid who keeps flying across 447 off Lower Mission Valley Road (same intersection as this accident) at 100mph in a Ford Ranger? Somebody put a leash on that kid! He almost got me once!
