The victim of a drive-by shooting is in stable condition in a private room at Citizens Medical Center after doctors on Tuesday removed the bullet lodged in the back of her neck.
Adriana Lopez, 27, was shot while standing in the kitchen of her home at the intersection of Harry and Northeast Water streets about 9:25 p.m. Saturday.
Victoria Police Department Detective Jeff Hobbs said he was at the surgery to retrieve the bullet as part of the investigation.
Hobbs said the department is investigating leads but could not confirm any suspects.
