Broken gas line closes intersection for an hour

A broken gas line at the intersection of Sam Houston Drive and Laurent Street forced traffic to be rerouted for about an hour Monday morning.

The line was broken by a work crew about 8:20 a.m. and traffic rerouted until it could be repaired, according to a statement from the city of Victoria.

The repair was completed and traffic returned to normal about 9:30 a.m.
