County 2010 audit now available

GREATEST COUNTY EXPENDITURES

PUBLIC SAFETY: $19.62 million

GENERAL GOVERNMENT: $16.42 million

HIGHWAYS AND STREETS: $4.45 million

PUBLIC HEALTH: $4.23 million

The county's total expenditures for 2010 was $46.98 million.

Victoria County residents can now see what their government spent its money on.

A comprehensive financial audit report for 2010 was presented to the commissioners court on Monday.

County auditor Judy McAdams said the annual report details the county's revenues and expenditures.

Harrison, Waldrop and Uherek, an accounting firm, conducted the audit.
