"Go Outreach!" ??? really?
You have a charter school that blatently ignores federal and state law, files 'doctored' financial reports, takes money from employees but 'forgets' to send it to the IRS, is currently over $1+ million in debt, and finally has their charter revoked by the State of Texas for numerous violations over several years - any one of which would have been grounds for closing...
and you CHEER for them as an example of how to 'fight the system'?
chain the front doors. arrest the business manager. file lawsuits against the administrators, auditors and 'advisors' that created this mess. done. move on.

Is Elaine Phillips a graduate of the same school as Steve Tyler? Talk about people beating a dead horse...I'm sure the intentions are good, but come on. She's jacked it all up, and she's not alone! Who gives a rat's fat ass if they "serve mostly kids form economically disadvantaged homes". Every sorry school in VISD does that.

The wrongs listed by the judge seem to fit right in with some of our folks on the Hill. Outreach's handling of funds and responsibilities sound even more like the folks who handle our country's finances. What irresponsibility. I wish Outreach would not have to close, but if they by some chance are allowed to remain open surely the leadership would be replaced. Nah. We keep our congressmen and senators, why would the Phillips have to leave. Right.
