The Victoria school board will meet Tuesday to publish the district's tax rate for the 2011-12 school year.
The board will recommend $1.03 per $100 of property value, the same tax rate as it has had for the past four years.
The school had budgeted tax collections based on last year's property values, which have increased about 2 percent this year.
Taxes account for about $42 million of the school's $95 million budget.
This year's budget is about $4.3 million less than last year's after the state cut about $8.6 million from its funds to VISD.
State law requires the board to schedule public meetings regarding the tax rate. Those dates will be announced at Tuesday's special meeting.
