Be on the lookout for some Titans, for they will officially be unleashed on Saturday.
The second annual Unleash the Titans Night promises to match up to last year's school-wide pep rally at which Titan loyalists crammed the entire home side of Memorial Stadium.
"Energized, excited, pumped up, couldn't wait for the school doors to open - that was the feeling that I got from people that were there," East High School Principal Greg Crockett said of last year's inaugural event.
This year, Crockett said he invited the entire East learning community to the rally in an effort to get the high school's feeder schools just as pumped for the year.
"It is just an event to get everyone excited about the Victoria East side learning community," he said.
Athletic teams, clubs and other organizations will parade onto the field and have the opportunity to address the stadium of fans about the year's expectations.
Cheerleaders, dancers and the band will perform, and spirit items, food and drinks will be for sale.
Crockett said he hopes the Unleash the Titans event will be the tradition that invites students out of the lull of the summer and into the school year.
"We will continue to just try to tweak things and better things each and every year," Crockett said. "School's upon us now, so let's get focused on opening the Titan doors."
