  • Hello everyone,

For privacy reasons, I will not put Mr. Litchfield's contact information on the website. However, if you or someone you know would like to donate something to him, please feel free to contact me at 361-580-6521 or gplatenburg@vicad.com. I would be happy to pass along his number or yours. Thanks.

  • What a wonderful story. Mr. Litchfield, your love and kindness to these dogs is so obvious, and I believe, as you must already know, that they will return that devotion a thousandfold.

I am so proud of your success already, and equally proud of Victoria College. I always knew they were a class act. Thank you, VC, and Dr. Beck, for helping this gentleman with his dogs so that he can concentrate on his education.

So many good things in this article. I would also like to commend the citizens of Victoria for their kindness and help. It makes me proud to know there are truly some good folks out there.

I have to echo TXWader: could we have some info if we would like to donate? I hope Mr. Litchfield does not look upon this as charity, but rather as a sign that people care. Perhaps a couple of dog beds and food for his beloved pets, in addition to household items for Mr. Litchfield would be a blessing for the giver and the recipient.

  • And this is the only reason we need to love Victoria. We might have problems, but the heart of our city is still here and that is comforting. Good luck and Way to go to Mr. Litchfield.

  • Great story and I had wondered what had become of Mr. Litchfield after reading the first story the Advocate ran about him.

I'm sure that if we had some sort of contact information his new apartment would have more furniture than it could hold.

  • What a wonderful story! And, the fact that this individual values education even when his circumstances are so limited is an example of what a person can do if he/she is truly determined! I hope that in a few years this individual will be "Dr. Litchfield". Good luck!
