I have already registered for my fall classes at Victoria College. How do I check my class schedule?
You can check your class schedule through the Pirate Portal, which is linked from VC's homepage at VictoriaCollege.edu.
Once you log into the portal, click the green My Courses tab. Look for the drop-down menu next to the words "Course Schedule for," and select Fall 2011.
Underneath the drop-down menu, information on all the courses you are taking should appear, such as the name of the course, section number, the department it is under and an email address for your professor. The course and section numbers are used to locate the books you will need for your classes.
A nice feature of the Pirate Portal is its ability to show you a detailed schedule of the courses for which you have registered.
To do so, click the green Academic Services tab, and then under the Registration Tools channel, click "Look up Classes." Select Fall 2011 from the drop-down menu and click "Submit" at the bottom. Then, scroll all the way down to the bottom where you will see two links, "Week at a Glance" and "Student Detail Schedule."
"Week at a Glance" will give you an organized look at what your week will look like, based on the courses you are taking. The "Student Detail Schedule" will give you extended details on each of your courses. Both features will tell you where your classes are located and what times they are scheduled.
You may find it helpful to print out your class schedule and take it with you on your first day of class as you try to find your classrooms.
For a campus map, starting from the VC homepage, roll over "Locations and Maps," then click "Main Campus." You will be able to view or print a campus map.
The first day of the fall semester is Monday, Aug. 22.
