CivilCorp, LLC, has acquired Victoria-based Associated Engineers and Surveyors, the company announced this week.

The acquisition allows CivilCorp to provide additional services, such as port engineering, and increases both the surveying and engineering staff, according to a company news release.

Associated Engineers and Surveyors' former owners, Billy Settles and AJ Hanslik, as well as the company's five other employees, will stay on CivilCorp. The move brings CivilCorp to 25 employees, Bookkeeper Connie Dooley said.

"The acquisition brings to CivilCorp a 25-year history of working on significant projects in and around South Texas while significantly expanding our client base," Ben Galvan, CivilCorp's president, said in the release.

CivilCorp, which maintains offices in Victoria and Houston, provides civil engineering and land surveying services statewide, according to the news release. It was recently licensed as a Louisiana engineering firm.
