School budgets aren't done yet.
The Victoria school board will meet Thursday to continue to work on the 2011-12 budget, which will be tweaked based on funding templates from the state.
Since property values went up in the district, the state will offer even less money than the $8.6 million it originally cut from Victoria schools.
"There may be some changes in (the budget), but it will not be significant," said Diane Boyett, district communications specialist.
Superintendent Bob Moore and Executive Director of Budget and Finance Frances Koch will present scenarios to make up for the difference.
VISD does not plan to increase its tax rate of $1.3226 per $100 of assessed value.
