Breon Carroll, 19, was arrested in the shooting of another man after an argument on Power Street. Michael Bruce was transported to the hospital with wounds to an eye and hand after being shot.

A 25-year-old Victoria man was shot three times with a BB gun, including once in the eye, after an argument in a car in the 2000 block of East Power Street on Thursday afternoon.

Police said two men were arguing over money, when one got out of the car, and shot into the vehicle three times, striking the other man once in the eye and twice in the hand.

The police arrested Breon Carroll, 19, of Victoria, in the 2000 block of East Goodwin Street, several blocks from the shooting scene. Police recovered the BB gun from a bush near the house where he was arrested.

The owner of the home that Carroll fled to said she had known him since he was a child.

"I don't know what possessed him to run here today," said the owner of the home, who declined to give her name. "They should all know by now if they do something, I'm not going to hide them. If the cops come knocking, I let them in."

The shooting victim, Michael Bruce, was taken to Citizens Medical Center for treatment. A hospital spokesperson said Bruce was treated and released.

Carroll was later charged with aggravated assault.

The shooting is under investigation by Victoria Police Officer Mark Hayden.
