The Victoria College Board of Trustees took care of some yearly business in a 15-minute special meeting Monday.
The meeting was part of the college's schedule of public hearings on this year's property tax rate.
The existing rate is 15.31 cents per $100 valuation, and the proposed new rate would be 16.06 cents per $100 valuation.
No members of the public spoke at the special meeting.
Also on the agenda were some items of yearly housekeeping business.
The board approved purchasing audio visual equipment, janitorial and building supplies for the new school year, which started Monday.
The board also approved setting the prevailing wage rates for building and highway construction.
The college's Allied Health student handbooks were tweaked, as well.
The new wording allows the college to use more discretion when it comes to allowing re-entry for students seeking an associate's degree in nursing or vocational nursing.
