This happens more than it should. A lot of the incidents don't get reported in the news. Two months ago I hit a cow about 12 miles south of Gonzales on US183. Totaled my companys Sprinter van. No cow-owner was ever found. The cow was killed. And I walked out of there without a scratch.

At approx 8:30 PM on Wednesday night, I was trailing my Harley on hwy 77 going to Corpus. Just pass the overpass going to Bloomington Hwy, 2 calves were crossing the Hwy (77). One was in my lane, the other following behind was half way in my lane and half way in the inside lane. An 18 wheeler was behind me getting ready to pass me, As I saw the calves, I hit the brakes to swerve to the left, I saw the 18 wheeler flick his high beam, and blow this horn, I stepped on the gas and lucky my truck (Silverado SS) took off like a bat out of hell... I really felt the 18 wheeler was going to climb into my trailer and land in my truck bed. By the grace of God nothing happened...

why didn't headline just say "man hits cow on u.s. highway 59"...or better yet, "man driving pickup hits cow on u.s. highway 59"?...
