This Labor Day may be the last three-day weekend with warm weather. We hope. But with recent record-breaking temperatures, a chance to cool off seems virtually impossible. There is a little something for everyone in the Crossroads to do. Take a look at these sizzling options.

1. Dancing:

Get your groove on at DeLeon Plaza Friday evening. The Victoria Parks and Recreation Department will have a free street dance at DeLeon Plaza. Kevin Antony & G-Town will play what he described as "The Gulf Coast" sound. Tip of the day: Wear comfortable shoes if you're planning to dance the night away.

2. Midget Wrestling:

It's hard to pass up an opportunity to see wrestlers named Meatball and Mini Mansion square off in a ring. Well, at 4 p.m., Saturday, you will get your chance. These wrestlers are a part of the Micro Wrestling Federation. Come to Riverside Park to see these small-statured wrestlers flex their big, competitive muscles.

3. Barbecuing:

Put your culinary skills to the test and enter the Armadillo Fest Barbecue Cook Off. If you think you have the best brisket and spare ribs, enter the contest. You could earn some serious bragging rights. Don't worry about electricity, it will be provided at the Riverside MultiPlex.

4. Armadillo Racing:

Lionel Cardosa has been a part of the races since the original festival. The award-winning racer said not to get the armadillos too much in advance.

These wild animals can yield some unpredictable results. Saturday at noon, Cardosa gave this piece of advice: "You've got a starting line and a finish line. When someone says 'go' you go."

5. Concert going:

You may have to use your boat or hitch a ride to get to the Labor Day Bash at the Beach concert. But Jeff Bartz said it will be worth it. His group, Po'Boys, along with Bill Pekar & The Rainey Brothers, Andrew Wade Band, Ross Brunner Band, and Guadalupe Surfers will host a free concert at Sunday Beach in Port O'Connor. Bartz said he appreciates all the local support. "It's a way to say thank you for being such good people."
