Santa Claus comes to Goliad

Santa Claus rides into the Goliad's courthouse square on a steer during Christmas in Goliad. After riding around the square Saturday, Mike Moore, who played the jolly old elf, later sat on a carriage with children to hear their Christmas wishes.

Goliad residents and individuals from surrounding communities came to Goliad's courthouse square on Saturday to enjoy arts and craft vendors, live entertainment, food and a special visit by Santa Claus.

The jolly old elf rode into town on a steer before allowing children to sit on his lap to recite their Christmas wishes. Festival attendees also basked in the holiday decorations throughout the square.
