• I also witnessed the stop on this one. I was at Wataburger when the truck came down Navarro and turned west on Rio Grande, Right in front of a westbound Patrol car heading for Navarro and cactus canyon. The officer stopped his turn and jumped right in behind the truck and pulled them over near the railroad tracks.

    Good job guys!

  • familyman and roberttx,

Unfortunately there is no such crime as "attempted" murder in Texas though the media often reports as such. The charge would be aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

Personally I think a person SHOULD be charged with the actual crime that was attempted rather than the result of the attempt. For example, in this case he should be charged with Murder. Even though he victim lived, even though the victim wasn't even hit. The attempt was to kill. He should be charged with what he intended to do. Murder.
And just count our lucky stars he was as good at aiming as he was at making intelligent choices.

  • And marijuana is the dangerous drug.

  • I think the charge should be attempted murder in the first degree. They went looking for the victims with the intent of harm or death.

  • Whenever I am coming home from clubbing and am likkered up, I enjoy a friendly shoot-out with others who are in the same condition.
