  • HOW TO DONATE

The Dorothy O'Connor Pet Adoption Center is collecting dog and cat toys, dog and cat beds, treats, bleach, paper toys, Joy soap, high efficiency Tide laundry soap, large and small trash bags and gift cards.

The center requests people not donate food, as it uses prescription diet food for shelter animals.

DOPAC will accept items at its shelter, 135 Progress Drive, or at the VCA Victoria Animals Hospital, 2706 Sam Houston Drive.

DOPAC is also seeking volunteers to help hold and lead pets through the parade at area schools on Dec. 9 and Dec. 12 through 15.

To find out how to help or volunteer, call Sally Kuecker, executive director, at 361-575-8573.
